Joanne Faries happily retired a year ago and is busier than ever. She enjoys a new found freedom and has become a YMCA gym rat – yoga, water aerobics, and pickleball. Watch out for that lefty serve!

Her current writing career consists of her blog (www.wordsplash-joannefaries.blogspot.com). But poems fill her heart on walks with her husband, Ray, and she enjoys capturing digital images with her phone. Creativity lies within her soul.

Joanne still heads to PA often to see her siblings, family, friends, and to visit her father, age 91. He completed his storyworth memoir last year, and she thanks him and her late mother for a love of reading and writing.
